There are several cigar websites with incorrect information regarding the origins of this label telling of two fictitious brothers who allegedly created the La Flor de Cano label in 1885. The main intent of this page is to tell the true story as revealed by Juan Cano's immediate family.

This site is dedicated to the memory of Juan Cano Sainz and Ernesto J. Cano, founders and owners of "J. Cano E Hijo", later becoming "Hijos de J. Cano y CompaÒÌa", manufacturer of such Cuban brands as La Flor de Cano (Habana), Caracol, and Trocadero.
