Cigar Aficionado's autumn 1994 issue published an article entitled "The Rolling Rooms", a story of the six cigar factories that manufacture most of Cuba's export quality cigars. On page 82, there is reference to Mr. Enrique Rodrigues, Director of Production at the El Rey del Mundo factory. The article states that Mr. Rodrigues' "favorite cigars are El Rey del Mundo Taino, and La Flor de Cano Diadema, both Churchill-sized cigars". A 1999 article, "Cuba's Best Cigars", published by Cigar Aficionado, states, "Our second favorite cigar brand is La Flor de Cano…it is now made in the La Corona factory...and has not been readily available of late. What cigars are on the market, however, are superior." Cigar Aficionado's September/October 1999 cigar ratings gave La Flor De Cano Bouquet a score of 88 (very good to excellent). Cigar Aficionado's February 2000 issue contained an article rating Robustos. In the results, the "La Flor de Cano, Santiago" rated 84 (very good to excellent).
